The 7th International Forum of Urban Competitiveness

"The Seventh meeting of the GUCP, The Forum on Pennsylvania's Cities and Towns, took place in Philadelphia (USA), with support of the Department of Community and Economic Development of he Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on Apr 2 sc —4th, 2009.  Presentations were made by GUCP members plus former mayor of Johnstown (Pennsylvania) Don Zucco and David Maurrasse, a consultant from New York City.  Presentations were focused on issues of local governance, aging, industrial tourism, urban competitiveness, and urban planning.  They were designed to be of benefit to local authorities and decision-makers in Pennsylvania's cities and towns.  It is anticipated that the proceedings of the Forum will be published as a paper bound book by Bucknell University Press later this year or early in 2010."
