Press Conference on “2013 Blue Book of Urban Competitiveness of China to Hold in Macao

The press conference on “2013 Blue Book of Urban Competitiveness of China: Report on Macao’s Global Urban Competitiveness”, organized by National Academy of Economic Strategy (NAES) of CASS, Macao Federation of Industry & Commerce, Center for City and Competitiveness, CASS, and Chinese Mazu Cultural Exchange Association, was held in Macao Special Administrative Region on May 23, 2013.

The conference was hosted by Mr. He Jinglin, President of Macao Federation of Industry & Commerce. Mr. Shi Dan, Vice President of NAES of CASS, and Mr. Wu Guoshou, on behalf of the sponsor and the organizer respectively, made speeches there. Mr. Ni Pengfei, GUCP leader and dean assistant of the Center, Dr. Li Chao, GUCP member, Dr. Yang Jie, GUCP member, and Professor Liu Chengkun, Macao University of Science and Technology, expressed their own opinions on theoretical basis and index system of Chinese urban competitiveness, and discussed about status quo and problems of Macao sustainable competitiveness and Macao’s target position as “Global Tourism & Leisure Center”. Professor Yang Xunzhong, director of “one-country two-system” Research Center gave his remarks on all speeches, and appreciated NAES’s good performance in promoting academic exchanges between the mainland and Macao. Other economic, social and environment associations in Macao and representatives from news agencies were also present on that conference.
