Director Ni Pengfei Meets Researchers from African Development Bank in China

In the afternoon of September 9, 2013, Ni Pengfei, the director of Center for City and Competitiveness of CASS met Dr. Mateus Magala, the counselor of Strategy Department, and Ms. Li Jin, the strategic analyst from African Development Bank in National Academy of Economic Strategy. Dr. Zhang Yue from CPPCC and Dr. Lv Fengyong from National Academy of Economic Strategy attended this meeting.

During the meeting, Director Ni introduced general situations of CASS, and explained how opened China increase job opportunities and how Chinese great-leap-forward development promotes small and medium-sized and private enterprises to Dr. Mateus Magala. After that, Dr. Zhang Yue and Dr. Lv Fengyong introduced China employment status and financing system and methods for Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises respectively to Dr. Mateus Magala.

Dr. Mateus Magala and his team intended to study successful experiences on accelerating development of small and medium-sized enterprises to create more job opportunities, improving labor productivity and competitiveness. They expected to learn some useful lessons from this trip to encourage employment in African countries, promote African reform and integration, and global value chain integration.
