On the afternoon of 21st April, lecturer of the Central University of Finance and Economics and associate professor of GUCP Yang xiaolan reported “World City Connectivity and Agglomeration-- a study based on Asymmetric World City Network Model”.
Part-time researchers participated the discussion.
Dr. Yang Xiaolan constructed the Asymmetric Global Network of Cities (AGNC) based on the symmetric model of global cities by Tayler. The AGNC does not only reflect the connections between cities but also the directions of the connections. Professor Ma Xiulian from National School of Administration and associate researcher Li Chao made brilliant comments on the report.
Finally, the seminar participants had a lively discussion on the connection of global cities and the measurement of the connection.
